Hello

Here's who I am & what I do

👋 Meet Gandhi

Hello! I’m Meet Gandhi, a passionate MSc. IT student at DA-IICT (Class of 2026) with a strong focus on backend development, AI/ML, and databases. I’ve had the privilege to work on a diverse range of projects — from academic solutions to AI-powered applications — and each one has pushed me further as a developer, problem solver, and collaborator.

💡 Projects That Define My Journey

One of my standout creations is Mini-Drive Lite, a self-hosted cloud storage system built using Django 5. It features AI-powered semantic search using OpenAI embeddings, automatic PDF text extraction and thumbnail generation, as well as secure expiring share links. A lightweight SQLite backend and an elegant Bootstrap 5 interface make it fast, responsive, and easy to use — perfect for users who want simple yet intelligent file storage.

Another impactful project is Nexus – an AI-Powered Library Management System, where I integrated semantic search and automated features into a traditional library system. Nexus intelligently understands user queries and assists in book discovery, ushering a smart user experience through the blend of Django and AI technologies.

As part of my academic journey, I developed PharmaConnect - techMed, a full-fledged pharmaceutical e-commerce platform that allows users to browse, search, and order medicines. The system supports inventory management, user authentication, and secure transactions. This project helped me understand real-world backend needs, from data modeling to UI responsiveness and secure form handling.

Another meaningful contribution was in the Cultural Heritage Preservation database project. The aim here was to build a robust and structured digital repository of cultural assets, with careful focus on data modeling, normalization, and long-term record maintenance. It gave me deep insight into how data integrity plays a vital role in preserving real-world value.

And finally, one of my more community-focused and exciting projects is AlHub — an all-in-one event management and club coordination platform designed for college students and organizations. AlHub simplifies event announcements, user registration, member tracking, and activity analysis. It was built to serve actual users within campus communities and reflects my ability to identify everyday problems and build user-first digital solutions.

💼 Experience & Leadership

I recently interned at Celebal Technologies, where I gained hands-on exposure to Generative AI and machine learningapplications in enterprise settings. The experience taught me to work on scalable models, structured pipelines, and collaborate with teams solving real-world business problems using AI.

On campus, I am actively involved in student communities. As a member of the AI Club and Google Developer Group (GDG) DA-IICT, I’ve participated in various workshops, tech sessions, and projects that keep me sharp and inspired. I also serve as a Core Member of the Sports Committee, taking up leadership roles in organizing sports activities and managing event logistics — building my organizational and teamwork skills outside of tech.

🧠 Technical Skills & Interests

My tech stack includes Python, C, C++, MySQL, Django, HTML/CSS, NumPy, and Pandas, with a growing interest in integrating AI APIs and building RESTful services. I enjoy backend development the most — the logic, data handling, and performance optimization aspects truly excite me. I'm always curious to explore new technologies, contribute to impactful projects, and collaborate with developers who share a love for clean code and creative thinking.

Thank you for visiting my space! Whether it’s an open-source idea, a community initiative, or a research project — I’m always up for tech that creates value. Let’s connect and build something meaningful together.
